Our Summer Online Program kicks off with a themed Italian Game Tournament this Tuesday at 6.30pm. The Giuoco Pianissimmo has proved a fertile battleground for players of all levels since the sixteenth century and is one of the first variations that every beginner is naturally drawn to and tries out intuitively. Few players ever truly master this most subtle of strategic openings and even when they do, the slippery nature of the middlegame positions that arise can see the result of a game turn on a dime. Study up on one of the most hotly contested variations in International Chess and then test it for yourself. 4 rounds/ 10 minutes + 3 seconds each/ two games with white / two games with black.
