Who is this Camp For?
The Kilkenny Camp for kids aged 7-15 years is open to Complete Beginners who are taking their first steps in chess or have only learnt the game recently, as well as Experienced Beginners and Intermediate Strength Players up to 1200 Elo. On arrival at the Camp, players will be split into two groups who will work with Una and Mark separately. The aim is to bring relative or complete beginners up to the level of experienced beginners and also to help experienced beginners and intermediate players to bring their game to the next level. All the kids compete in the same competition at the end of each day and there are prizes for the winners and the most improved players, so everyone has a chance to win on the day.
