Monaghan Kids Chess Camp 13 - 14 July
About this Camp:
The Monaghan Chess Camp for kids aged 7-16 years ( including TY students) is a 2-day summer camp that involves expert chess coaching by IM Mark Quinn, introductions to exciting attacking openings and the analysis of students’ games. Each day is rounded off with a fun daily tournament with prizes.
This camp is open to kids who already know the basic rules of the game and aims to help Experienced Beginners and Intermediate Strength Players to get their game to the next level.
As a bonus, every child that enrolls in a Chess Bud Summer Camp will receive an account in Mark’s online coaching portal from the 1st of June till the 31st August:
i) Participate in the Weekly Chess Bud Thursday Night Tournament
ii) Work on your endgame using the Playable Annotated Endings Database.
iii) Discover exciting new opening ideas in the Playable Annotated Games Database.
iv) Solve puzzles and complete assignments.
v) Play friendly challenge games with your friends in the Game Area anytime!
Note: Mark will be using the games from the online portal tournaments in June/ July to design each day’s curriculum so the material covered has a direct relevance to the kids enrolled in that day’s camp.
