MONDAY NIGHT CLUB (Feb-March Spring Term)

ABOUT THIS COURSE

Five-weeks online course (continuing on from the January Complete Beginners 6 week course) for those players who by now know the moves and the basic concepts but  who want to build a solid foundation to develop their chess understanding so as to bring their game to the next level.  Open to adults aged sixteen and over.  On enrolling in the course you will be issued with your own personalised login to the Chess Bud Coaching Portal. The Classes are conducted using Zoom or Google Meet

COURSE HIGHLIGHTS
– Students will have the chance to play each other either in training games, weekly tournaments or fortnightly  themed opening tournaments.  Mark also runs regular training simuls in class.

– Students will be assigned graduated puzzles each week so as to fine-tune their attacking and defensive ideas for both white and black.  Students are encouraged to study the solutions to these tactical and strategic quizzes in the portal in-between classes so as to develop incrementally their intuition for complex middlegames.

– For the duration of the course, students will have access to the Chess Bud Curriculum in the form of playable opening, middlegame & endgame databases in the Coaching Portal.  Learn essential move-orders to get you out of the opening and into the middlegame!
