After-School Programs

Jonathan is based in Westmeath and can provide weekly classes to schools in Dublin or Westmeath.

So how do 1 hour in-person after-school classes work?
Standard extra-curricular classes last approximately 1 hour. We bring a large demonstration board which takes 2 mins to set-up as well as chessboards and sets that the kids play on during the class. Kids get a 20 minute lesson followed by 30 minutes play and then five minutes at the end to clear up and leave the classroom in the same shape we found it. If the class is big enough, we run a weekly competition from the third week and provide trophies and medals at the end of each term. 

Class Details:
Classes take place according to the school calendar and require a minimum of fourteen enrolled kids to get going up to a maximum of 30 kids per class.

Rates:
i)   60 minute Extra-Curricular class rate  – €9 per student per class/  €7 per additional sibling
ii)  90 minute TY Seminar rate                – €12 per student per class
iii) 120 minute TY Seminar rate     – €15 per student per class

Travel Expenses:
Petrol: €0.50 per kilometer for schools situated 20km beyond where Mark and Jonathan are based.
