COURSE THEME:
Middlegame Plan Formation & Calculating Better and Deeper

COURSE DETAILS:
Group analysis, strategic thinking and calculating accurately is the core of this course.  Students will be given a set of difficult puzzles and tricky middlegame challenges to mull over in advance of each class.  The positions that students will be challenged to solve will come from their own games as well as contemporary and classic master games.  The aim of this course is to give students a new set of tools to help:

• Choose the best attacking plan in complex middlegame positions
• Select the best practical defensive set-up when your opponent has the upper-hand.
• Calculate key lines more accurately and deeply.

COURSE FEES:
84 Euros (12 Euro per student per class)
This course will run with a minimum of 6 students.  If cancelled, a full refund will be issued.

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS COURSE:
The group meets once a week for 75 minutes on Tuesday evenings from 7 – 8.30pm  The Online class is conducted using Zoom. This course is generally reserved for adults (16+) although some strong juniors who are unable to make my Monday Advanced Kids Club may be invited to attend.  The course will suit  players who have been playing over-the-board tournament chess for some time and have an online or over-the-board rating 1400 – 2000 Elo.

Students will receive a PDF of four positions to analyse in the days running up to the start of the class, so as they can check their own analyses and ideas against those of their classmates, Mark and last but not least the engines!
